Professional Engineering Support Services U.S. Navy/NAVFAC Engineering Command / Mid Atlantic, Norfolk, VA

Services: Advantech provided program and engineering support to the Capital Improvements Business Line government workforce at NAVFAC MIDLANT as a subcontractor. Our highly skilled personnel are experts in architectural and engineering technical services, project management and program management support. Advantech's professionals provided design and project management, including development of project scopes, schedules and budgets to support project programming, planning, design and construction.

Engineering, Quality Assurance and Safety Support Services U.S. Navy/NAVFAC Engineering Command/Southwest, San Diego, CA U.S. Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, CA

Services: Advantech is providing engineering technical services through the recruitment, placement and management of highly qualified personnel specializing in QA, administration and Program Management to support the ROICC Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton Team in the construction of the new Camp Pendleton acute care hospital, utility plant, utility tunnel, parking structure, and site. It is the largest project worldwide using recovery funds.

Advantech identified, recruited and hired 14 engineers and inspectors, and 2 safety professionals with over 30 years experience in building hospitals nationwide. Advantech was chosen based on the strength and depth of our past performance in successfully recruiting specialized professionals and our extensive technical and management experience on large, complex construction programs. We pride ourselves on outperforming contract requirements and specifications so the Navy receives the highest qualified experts in the field at the best value.

As of April 2013, the project has logged over 1.5 million man hours without an accident. Advantech has earned "exceptional" CPARS ratings for the quality of the work provided by its engineers, and for our management of key staff, schedules and customer and business relationships. As a result of Advantech's performance on the project, Advantech was asked to provide the same services to the hospital staff on Guam to support their management and oversight of construction staff that are expanding the current hospital in a $120 million dollar project.

Services: Advantech provides specialized professional services for end-to-end test and evaluation (T&E) process steps and support, independent verification and validation (IV&V) including documentation, configuration management (CM)–from baseline control to management of system changes, documentation libraries and distribution; software quality assurance (QA) techniques in compliance with ISO/IEC 25000, to web site maintenance, and support services in support of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) programs and Software Support Activity (SSA).

Advantech experts bring an in-depth understanding of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for the entire system life-cycle process from software development and integration to QA, maintenance, and measurement of performance under this IDIQ.

Engineering, Quality Assurance and Safety Support Services U.S.Navy/NAVFAC Engineering Command/Southwest, San Diego, CA U.S. Naval Hospital Guam

Services: Advantech is a subcontractor for providing engineering and construction specialists to support the U.S. Navy in overseeing and managing the construction of a new $120 million state-of-the-art Military Treatment Facility, clinics, aero medical evacuation, and inpatient services on the island of Guam in the South Pacific. The design of the new Naval Hospital is a prototype for the much larger facility at Camp Pendleton, CA.

Advantech's highly qualified staff of specialized engineers represent a variety of disciplines including having medical gas expertise to augment the hospital and Naval staff during construction.

Program and Engineering Support, Tornado Disaster Recovery U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District, AL and MacDill AFB

Advantech subject matter experts provided a range of planning, engineering and design in conjunction with construction, repair, renovation, restoration, quality assurance (QA), maintenance and operation of facilities in and around the 2011 tornado disaster area. Our major projects included:

Special OPS Command Central (SOCCENT) HQ Facilities / Commandant and Cultural Engagement Group Facility (CEG) MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL.

Advantech QA construction specialists supported the design-build construction of three 2-story facilities with civil site improvements and over three miles of underground electrical duct bank. We audited contractor submittals for compliance with the RFP and specifications, and reviewed and researched contractor's contract modifications for justification. Advantech staff conducted detailed QA inspections of work-in-progress including plumbing, fire, electrical, drywall, painting, stucco, fixtures, surveying, fencing, concrete, underground utilities, grading, and general safety inspections of site and contractors' safety compliance.

Tornado Disaster Recovery QA/QC Various sites around Mobile, AL.

Within days after a tornado ripped across Alabama in 2011, Advantech successfully recruited and screened highly qualified QA/QC professionals, construction representatives and mechanical engineers to oversee disaster cleanup. Our recruiters identified candidates from our extensive proprietary database of pre-qualified prospects and secured the required skilled candidates for the positions. Advantech earned an Overall "Exceptional" Performance Rating under this contract.
